Dandelion Day is THIS Saturday (May 30th)!!

What a great way to spend a day! Something for everyone!! Heather and Kyle will be there – visit them at the Lunar Rhythm Gardens stand.
Dandelion Day is a celebration of nutrition and wellness as a companion to the Purple Onion Festival. It will be held at Seeds Of Change at George Street United Church Saturday May 3oth, 2015. Booths inside and out. Public attendance in support of local wellness and nutrition practitioners is what this is all about so there is no admission.
All Dandelion Day vendors and practitioners will be members of the Kawartha Loon Exchange and trading in the Kawartha Loon Local Currency.
Workshops on nutrition and wellness will be an integral part of the day, and we are hoping that many will enjoy the food at the Dandelion Cafe.
In Memory of…
In Memory of……
Fanny, our family member of 10 years, passed away the morning of April 24th. She was an important member of our farm leaving behind many memorable moments! Generally having free roam of the farm, she could get herself into trouble sometimes, raiding the apple orchard, and escaping to the garden to eat our Swiss chard.
She was really the queen of the farm and for the most part expected to be treated that way!
She leaves behind Chocolate Milk, whom we are hand raising, and who is enjoying hanging out with the beef herd.
We’ll miss you, Fanny…thank you for the great memories.
Jess

We had an amazing Open House May 9th, with huge attendance. Thanks to Heather, Leah, & Aunt Helen for their tour guide skills!
And thanks, Jan, from Qi for Change, for offering up your skills in healing .
Chocolate Milk loved visiting with friendly new and familiar faces.
We will be contacting those of your who won draw prizes shortly. Thanks for attending and spreading the good word.
We welcomed some cute additions to the farm – Indian Runner Ducklings; Cool Runnings, Bannanee, & Robert Larmer.
We attended our first CRAFT (Collaborative Regional Alliance for Farmers in Training) at Wheelbarrow Farm. Enjoyed an awesome tour and an educational session on farm safety.
A few of us have also gotten another year older! Heather and John celebrated their birthdays with us this week!
Thanks
Cheers, Jess

Learning on the Farm…
We have been enjoying some amazing weather on the farm and it has allowed us to get down and dirty!
We have been blessed with some extra help from Fleming College students on Co-op placement and it has been awesome teaching them the ‘ins and outs’ of farming!
Jessalynn has started her flower seeds for the her portion of the market stall this year!
